All though the thought was good, we were unable to maintain this event due to circumstances beyond our control. The Board would like to apologize to those that may have been inconvenienced by this. With out the support of the fans Tonopah Speedway would not be able to stay open over the last 27 years. As well as those who volunteer week after week, most with out any tie to a race team, just the love of the sport. So if you get the chance to say thank you to them do so. Many spend hours not seen on duties to help keep your track floating above the water line. They spend hours maintaining the facility by fixing leaky pipes or replacing bad ballast in light fixtures. Installing new equipment or repairing old and worn out equipment. Thanks go to our sponsors both for there monetary, time and services they provide.
